EARS Net Logging Recorder Software

The “EARS-Net^TM” Logging Software is designed to enhance the “EARS-2000^TM” Digital Voice Recording platform by allowing the user to automatically and seamlessly download via FTP the recordings from the “EARS-2000^TM” unit(s) to a Windows XP Pro/2003 Server/2000 Pro based PC on the LAN/WAN environment. The “EARS-Net^TM” Logging Software receives recording files from “EARS-2000^TM” Digital Voice recorder(s) and organizes them in Windows folders and subfolders for easy retrieval and playback.

The recordings are saved in standard WAV file format. Users can access recordings from anywhere on the network using standard Windows® shared file access and audio playback tools.

“EARS-Net^TM” Logging Software includes automated archiving software which saves recording data to removable media (CD or DVD) on the host PC for off-line long-term storage. Archived recordings can be easily restored.

The “EARS-Net^TM” Logging Software can be configured to purge re-cording files after a designated period of time and/or when a designated minimum amount of hard drive storage capacity is reached.

The “EARS-Net^TM” Logging Software includes an embedded FTP client module which can optionally forward recordings to a backup site. This is in addition to the ability of the “EARS-2000^TM” Digital Voice recorder to FTP its files to two separate PCs running the “EARS-NetTM” Logging Software.

The “EARS-Net^TM” Logging Software may be provided as a fully configured “EARS-Net^TM” Server or it may be purchased separately to be installed on a customer provided PC.
